Description

Café de Paris butter is a flavorful compound butter perfect for enhancing the taste of your steak.


Ingredients

  • 250g unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp capers, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh tarragon, chopped
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp anchovy paste
  • 1 lemon, zest and juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients except the butter.
  2. Add the softened butter and mix thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Place the mixture on a sheet of plastic wrap and roll it into a log shape.
  4. Refrigerate the butter log for at least 2 hours to firm up.
  5. Slice the butter and place a piece on top of your cooked steak before serving.

  • You can store the butter in the fridge for up to a week or freeze it for longer storage.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic and anchovy paste to suit your taste.
