- 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans), chopped
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup almond butter or peanut butter
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, or apricots), optional
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the almond butter and honey together until smooth.
- Pour the melted mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is well combined.
- If using dried fruits, fold them into the mixture now.
- Spread the mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet and press it down firmly.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before cutting into bars or snaps.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
