Deliciously crunchy breakfast snaps made with oats, nuts, and sweetened with honey, perfect for a quick morning snack or a healthy breakfast option.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans), chopped
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, or apricots), optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the almond butter and honey together until smooth.
  4. Pour the melted mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is well combined.
  5. If using dried fruits, fold them into the mixture now.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet and press it down firmly.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before cutting into bars or snaps.
  9. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
