  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

A quick and flavorful dish featuring tender beef strips coated in a spicy garlic sauce, perfect for serving over rice or noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into strips
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons ginger, minced
  • 12 tablespoons chili paste (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced beef, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef strips and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and ginger. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add chili paste and honey to the skillet, stirring to combine.
  5. Add bell pepper and onion to the skillet and cook until slightly softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet, mixing everything together. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles and garnish with sliced green onions.

Notes

  • For a milder version, reduce the amount of chili paste.
