Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons white vinegar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pita bread or flatbreads for serving
- Fresh vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions) for garnish
- Tahini sauce or garlic sauce for drizzling
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, vinegar, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade and mix well to coat all the pieces. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a grill, oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Remove the beef from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill or cook the beef for about 3-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.
- Once cooked, remove the beef from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into smaller pieces.
- Serve the beef in pita bread or flatbreads, topped with fresh veggies and drizzled with tahini sauce or garlic sauce.
