  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 10 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
