Ingredients

  • 2 cans (15 oz each) navy beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the navy beans, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, onion, bell pepper, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
  4. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and the beans are heated through.
  6. Serve warm as a side dish to your BBQ meal.

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute the navy beans with pinto beans or black beans for a different flavor.
