- 2 pounds pork shoulder
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 slider buns
- Coleslaw (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
- Place the pork in a roasting pan or Dutch oven and cover it tightly with foil.
- Roast in the oven for 4-5 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- Remove the pork from the oven, and let it rest for 15 minutes before shredding it with two forks.
- Mix the shredded pork with BBQ sauce until fully coated.
- To assemble the sliders, place a generous amount of BBQ pulled pork on the bottom half of each slider bun.
- Top with coleslaw if desired, then place the top half of the bun on each slider.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the pork shoulder overnight with the spice mixture.
- You can also cook the pork in a slow cooker on low for 8 hours for a hands-off approach.
- Feel free to use your favorite BBQ sauce for this recipe.
