Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
  3. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Rub the ribs with olive oil and then apply the spice mixture evenly over both sides.
  5. Wrap each rack of ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
  7. Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil.
  8. Preheat a grill or broiler to medium-high heat.
  9. Brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and grill for about 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until caramelized.
  10. Remove from the grill, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
