- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Rub the ribs with olive oil and then apply the spice mixture evenly over both sides.
- Wrap each rack of ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil.
- Preheat a grill or broiler to medium-high heat.
- Brush the ribs with barbecue sauce and grill for about 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until caramelized.
- Remove from the grill, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
