- 1 pound breakfast sausage, crumbled
- 6 slices bread, cubed (white or whole wheat)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the crumbled sausage until browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease.
- In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, cooked sausage, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread and sausage mixture. Stir gently to combine, ensuring all bread is soaked.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

- You can prepare the casserole the night before and refrigerate it. Just add an extra 10-15 minutes to the baking time if baking cold.
