Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until well combined.
  3. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. If using, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the buttered bread.
  6. Place the bread halves in the air fryer basket, cut side up. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  7. Air fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and let cool for a minute before slicing into pieces and serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the garlic amount to taste if you prefer a milder flavor.
  • For a twist, try adding herbs like oregano or basil to the garlic butter mixture.
