Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently until smooth.
  5. Roll the dough out to about 1/2 inch thickness. Use a donut cutter or two round cookie cutters to cut out the donuts.
  6. Preheat the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes.
  7. Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray. Place the donuts in the basket, ensuring they are not touching.
  8. Air fry the donuts for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove the donuts from the air fryer and immediately coat them in cinnamon sugar while they are still warm.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a chocolate glaze, melt some chocolate chips and dip the cooled donuts in the chocolate before coating with sprinkles.
