Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound them to an even thickness, about 1/2 inch thick.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In another shallow bowl, add the beaten eggs.
- In a third shallow bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each chicken cutlet in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess, then dip it into the egg, and finally coat it with the breadcrumbs.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the breaded chicken cutlets in a single layer. Make sure they are not touching.
- Spray the top of the cutlets lightly with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can marinate the chicken in your favorite seasonings or buttermilk before breading.
- Feel free to add herbs like parsley or Italian seasoning to the breadcrumbs for added flavor.
- If you have a larger air fryer, you can double the recipe and cook in batches.
