Description
Crispy and delicious air fryer apple chips that make a healthy snack, perfect for any time of the day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large apples (any variety)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
- Core and slice the apples thinly, about 1/8 inch thick. You can leave the skin on for added texture.
- In a bowl, toss the apple slices with lemon juice and cinnamon, if using. You can also sprinkle sugar over them for sweetness.
- Arrange the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches.
- Air fry for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the apple chips are crispy and lightly browned.
- Remove from the air fryer and allow to cool completely. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of nutmeg or allspice.
- Make sure to cut the apple slices evenly for uniform cooking.
- If you find the chips are not crispy enough, return them to the air fryer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
