Crispy and delicious air fryer apple chips that make a healthy snack, perfect for any time of the day.


Ingredients

  • 2 large apples (any variety)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Core and slice the apples thinly, about 1/8 inch thick. You can leave the skin on for added texture.
  3. In a bowl, toss the apple slices with lemon juice and cinnamon, if using. You can also sprinkle sugar over them for sweetness.
  4. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches.
  5. Air fry for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the apple chips are crispy and lightly browned.
  6. Remove from the air fryer and allow to cool completely. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
  7. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of nutmeg or allspice.
  • Make sure to cut the apple slices evenly for uniform cooking.
  • If you find the chips are not crispy enough, return them to the air fryer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
