- 8 oz pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes
- 1/4 cup fresh basil
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- 1 tsp lemon zest
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until they soften.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine with the tomatoes and garlic.
- Stir in the chopped basil, grated parmesan cheese, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Toss until everything is well mixed.
- Serve the pasta in a bowl or plate, garnishing with additional basil and parmesan if desired.
