Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and onion for toppings
- Ketchup and mustard for serving
- Red and blue food coloring (for optional coloring of condiments)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bun and adding lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, and mustard.
- For a festive touch, add red and blue food coloring to the ketchup and mustard for a patriotic look.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the 4th of July!
